Information Security Professional Certificate
JMU has been designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. This designation certifies that JMU has passed ongoing reviews of its commitment to providing excellent education in the field of information assurance.
Graduates of the Secure Software Systems program at JMU may choose to receive the Information Systems Security Professionals certificate (NSTISSI No. 4011). This certificate proclaims that the recipient has completed a curriculum satisfying the National Training Standards in the disciplines of telecommunications security and automated information systems (AIS) security, as approved by the Committee on National Security Systems.
