A degree in Computer Science prepares you for a wide range of careers such as software developer, web developer, information security specialist, network engineer, and information system consultant.  Government and industry analysts agree that demand for information technology professionals is strong and will remain so for at least a decade.  Computer Science graduates consistently command among the highest starting salaries of all undergraduate majors.  Recent JMU graduates have taken positions with such organizations as SAIC, IBM, TRW, Verizon, Sprint, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop-Grumman, Computer Science Corporation, General Electric, and many others.
