Mission & Goals

The Computer Science graduate program in Secure Software Systems prepares professionals with advanced expertise that allows them to participate successfully in real-world efforts to produce, evaluate, and maintain secure and reliable software.

Goals of the program are:

  1. to prepare graduates for professional practice as a system developer/administrator with specialized skills for designing, building, maintaining, and evaluating highly secure software applications and networks that support them.
  2. to prepare graduates with a general knowledge of fundamental topics in applied computer science that will give them an understanding of all aspects of computing systems, including hardware, software, languages, and data.
  3. to provide graduates an understanding of their professional responsibilities and ethics, and the skills to continually improve their education and abilities through lifelong learning.
